Practical AI Usage

Department of Computer Applications-BCA in Association with COE- Data Science and Artificial Intelligence is conducting an International Guest Talk on Practical AI usage in organization on 7/8/2026 at 10:00 AM.

Personal Effectiveness

Centre for Innovation and Leadership – CIL conducted training for the students BCA 1 st Sem ‘A’ and ’B’ in “Personal Effectiveness”. There were 2 trainers, Ms.Veena, Ms.Vanishree. All the trainers conducted group activity to make the students gain their confidence levels, to make sure they understand time management, and also on how to set their personal goals.

Add-on Training Program on AI & ML and Full-Stack Development

The Deparment of Computer Applications - BCA conducting Add-on Training Program on AI & ML, and Full-stack Development for III semester BCA students . This course will be held over 30-hour sessions from 15-09-2025 to 19-09-2025 with classes handled by well-experienced, certified IT Professionals. The course aims to provide an overview of industry trends and needs related to the latest technologies in AI & ML, as well as Full-Stack Development. This course will help the students to choose their Internships and Projects during their final year of BCA.

Tableau Unlocked: From Raw Data to Insightful Dashboards

The Department of BCA conducting One day workshop on "Tableau Unlocked: From Raw Data to Insightful Dashboards” in association with COE-Data Science and Artificial Intelligence on 16/09/2025.This workshop is conducting for V sem students. Renowned speaker Dr . Senthil Vadivu from Christ (Deemed to be university) is going to give a more insigntfull view on the Data Analytical tool Tableau.

Meditation - Life Skill (STHITAPRAJNA)

The Department of Computer Applications-BCA, in association with the Yoga and Meditation Cell (STHITAPRAJNA), conducted a special yoga session on meditation on 17 th September 2025. Participants explored various techniques to enhance mental clarity and promote inner peace.

Mehendi Competition

The Department of Computer Applications-BCA in Association with Student Activity cell (SANCHALANA) is organizing a Mehendi Competition on 19th September 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Building No. 17. Mehendi, also known as henna, is a traditional form of body art made from the powdered leaves of the henna plant.

Workshop on Advanced machine learning concepts

The Department of Computer Applications-BCA conducting a Workshop on Advanced machine learning concepts for VI sem Students on 23rd April 2026. This workshop is a practical learning facility where students gain hands-on experience with various machining processes and tools used in manufacturing and fabrication. The workshop focuses on developing technical skills, safety awareness, and an understanding of machine operations.

Bridge Course Schedule - July 2026

The Department of Computer Applications is organizing Bridge Course Classes for first-semester BCA students to felicitate smooth transition from school education to undergraduate studies by strengthening foundational knowledge, developing essential academic skills, and preparing them for the demands of higher education.

From Code to Clarity: An Introduction to a Career in Technical Writing

The Language and Literary Unit – AKSHARA, Department of Computer Applications (BCA), Dayananda Sagar College of Arts, Science & Commerce, organized an International Guest Talk on "From Code to Clarity: An Introduction to a Career in Technical Writing" on 6 August 2026 in the Seminar Hall, Building No. 17. The session was delivered by Ms. Usha Mandya, Senior Manager, Technical Writing at Docker, Cambridge, England, United Kingdom. She provided valuable insights into technical writing, career opportunities, essential skills, industry expectations, and emerging trends in the field.

Data Analytics

Department of Computer Applications-BCA conducted a seminar on Employability Skills required for Data Analytics. Mr. Maheshwaran Narayanan, Assistant Vice president , Imarticus Learning briefed about the skills required to be a Data analyst.

Placement Orientation for BCA students was conducted for the year 2019-20.
