BBA and B.Com Department of DSCASC has organised FDP on “Contemporary Management & Commerce Education through Research Excellence” on 16/03/2022. The programme was inaugurated by dignitaries by lighting the lamp. Prof Sahanashree welcomed the dignitaries & gathering.

Dr. Sheril Michael Almeida discloses the "Philosophy of Management and Commerce Research". Mam elaborated the philosophy of research through the “Research Onion” diagram. Scope of social science research and how to promote research work at colleges and universities were focus points.

The key speaker for the webinar was Dr Prashant R. Nair Vice-Chairman-IQAC & Associate Professor, Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore.

Dr Prashant R. Nair shared the vision for Higher Education in India – 2020 with a focus on Government initiatives for formulating a New Education Policy through the consultation process for an inclusive, participatory and holistic approach, which takes into consideration expert opinions, field experiences, empirical research, and stakeholder feedback.

An FDP titled “Academic Integrity and Role of IPR in Effective Implementation of NEP” was organized by BBA & B.Com department on 20th November 2021 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm at New Business Block. It was aimed to provide basic information about NEP 2020 with reference to Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).

The speaker highlighted the basic structure of NEP and also focused on how IPR will play an important role in the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) of a faculty. It was also emphasized that faculty’s intellectual credits will be uploaded on NEP platform in future. Academic Bank of Credit was also explained in detail.
